Curricular Innovation grants are available from the Extension Office to support instructors who wish to participate in research exploring eLearning and/or emerging best practices/methodologies in teaching.
Extension instructors who have taught for a minimum of two semesters are eligible with Dean approval.

Summary: "Bricks, Clicks, and Learning" whether in a traditional and/or virtual classroom has evolved to include many diverse practices and methodologies. This course will introduce you to new and emerging pedagogies. Many of the theories and tools presented and discussed in this course are not discipline-specific and can be applied in any type of instructional environment.
This is a 6-week online asynchronous course with 1 mandatory synchronous orientation designed for Otis College faculty and instructors.
Deadline for Participation: Thursday, the 3rd week of each semester
Offerings: Bricks, Clicks, and Learning is offered once a semester.

Requirements:
Successful completion of "Bricks, Clicks, and Learning" is required of all faculty and instructors who wish to teach eLearning courses at Otis College.
Completion of "Bricks, Clicks, and Learning" does not guarantee that you may teach an eLearning course. Department Chairs determine which and how many eLearning courses are offered.
Upon successful completion, instructors and faculty are awarded a grant of $500.00. Completion is determined by course participation.
