O-Space: STUDENT GUIDES

Overview

The following tutorials provide student instructions for using the O-Space Course (CMS).

Log into O-Space before following any of these instructions.

Viewing Grades

Select "CC" for captions.

1. Select current course under gray heading "My Courses"
2. Select "Posts" Tab to access instructor content

A gray folder next to a post title with a white asterisk means there is content in that post you have not selected

To View Grades

  • On left gray menu, select "My Grades" at the bottom
  • If your instructor is using the O-Space Gradebook, your scores will be listed there

Replying To Instructor Posts

  1. Select the title of the post on the "Posts" tab in O-Space Course
  2. Select the top post of your instructor
  3. The content will appear below
  4. Select "Submit Reply" from the gray bar in the middle of the page
  5. Include a "Title" and put your answer in the "Body"
  6. You can also "Browse" and upload attachments (file size limit 50mb) from your computer
  7. Scroll to the bottom
  8. Select "Save"

Students in a course cannot delete a reply once it has been saved.

Viewing Instructor Feedback For Submissions

1. Select current course under gray heading "My Courses"
2. Select "Submissions" tab

  • Step 1 requires you submit work from your ePortfolio
  • Step 2 is often where faculty will leave feedback on what you posted

3. Select "(info)" next to Step 2
4. Will see assessment (grade/feedback) from faculty in the second step 2 box

All submission assignments are listed in bold with steps underneath.

  • Blue square = no submission
  • Yellow square = complete
  • Orange square = waiting for faculty to grade
  • Green or Gray square = graded.

If you select Step 1, you can see what you submitted by selecting "View e-Portfolio".

If you haven't submitted anything yet you will see a gray box marked "Submit Evidence" (Evidence = coursework).
