The Nest
Essentials for the Nest
It is required to post the syllabus (10 days before class starts) and any digital content that is part of the course on the Nest.
It is required to submit an attendance record for each class in the Nest. Otis College must have this information on file to qualify for federal funding.
It is highly encouraged to input grades in the Nest. This allows students to know where they stand throughout the semester and makes it easy for the faculty/instructor to calculate and submit final grades in one place.
Recommended Best Practice for Organizing Course Content
It helps students transition between courses in the Nest if there is some basic organizational consistency. We recommend creating a Unit for Syllabus and a Unit for each Week of the course.
Organize Content with clear action items and keep a consistent structure for all Units (weeks).

Recommended Image Size for Banner images is 1200 x 400 pixels
Recommended Image Size for the Visual Table of Contents is 754 x 400 pixels
- Visual Table of Contents is populated with images added to Content Units.
