Jean-Marie Venturini
2012 - present

Jean-Marie is the Instructional Designer and Assistant Director of the Teaching/Learning Center at Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles.


  • M.S. in Instructional Design & Technology from CSU Fullerton
  • M.F.A. from Otis College of Art and Design in Creative Writing
  • B.F.A from Loyola Marymount University in Classics and Classical Civilizations.


She has been teaching in the Liberal Arts and Sciences department at Otis College since 2006. She currently teaches:

  • ENGL 107 Writing in the Digital Age
  • LIBS 114/214 Identity in Time Travel (Online)
  • Bricks and Clicks: The How-Tos of eLearning (Online)

Current Publications

Include co-authoring two articles with Dr. Parme Giuntini:

  • "Learning By Doing: Using ePortfolios for Assessment at Otis College of Art and Design" published in Volume 31 Issue 7 of Library Hi Tech News
  • a chapter for the Great Big MOOC Book, entitled "Hijacking the MOOC: Reflections on Creating/Teaching an Art History MOOC," which includes reflections on the experience of launching a MOOC as well as the MOOCs role in Higher Education.


Most recently, she co-presented at the 2016 OLC Innovate conference in New Orleans as part of their Solutions Design Summit on the subject of overcoming barriers and resistance to training/development programs.

Areas of Support

Jean-Marie provides assistance to ALL Faculty who want to teach online, blended, and technology-enhanced courses. She has a wide ranging expertise with instructional technology tools including O-Space.

Part-Time Program Coordinator

Natalie Salvador
2018 - present

Natalie Salvador is the Temporary Program Coordinator of the Teaching/Learning Center at Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles.


  • B.F.A. from Otis College of Art and Design in Fashion Design
  • AA from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Visual Presentation and Space Design


Natalie has been teaching in the Fashion Department at Otis College since 2017.  She currently teaches:

  • FSHD 202 Sophomore Studio I
  • FSHD 203 Sophomore Studio II
  • FNDT 145 Fashion Elective: 3D Shape Exploration on the Human Form  

Areas of Support

Natalie provides assistance to all faculty with questions regarding technology use and classroom best practices.  She is currently working in the TLC to support the implementation of our new Learning Management System which will be in use campus-wide by Fall 2020
