The video lab is closed all major holidays
Patrons must be a currently enrolled student or instructor with current Otis ID or have approval from department head.
Equipment must be checked out through the computer system using your Student ID. (Xnumber)
All items checked out must be returned to the Video Lab no later than 7PM on the next day, unless previously arranged with the Video Lab staff.
All equipment must be returned in the condition that it was checked out. (clean and in working order)
All equipment must be returned to a Technician in the Video Lab (room B10.)
All equipment must be checked-in through the computer system using your Student ID. (Xnumber)
A late fee of TEN (10) dollars per day, per item will be assessed for Camera Kits, Lighting Kits & Projector Kits.
A late fee of ONE (1) dollar per day per item will be assessed for all other items.
A fee equivalent to full replacement cost will be assessed on all lost or damaged equipment.
Patron will be given an invoice once items are returned. All fees are to be paid to the Cashier in the Business Office on the 2nd Floor of Ahmanson Hall. The receipt must be returned to Video Lab for fees to be removed from patron’s account.
If the item(s) are not returned in a timely manner and/or fees not paid, the College will place a hold on registration for all future classes.
If the patron does not pay fees in a timely manner, the patron will be responsible for all collection costs of any kind; including but not limited to, collection agency fees, as well as legal fees and/or court costs.
If patron fails to pay late fees the institution and/or collection agency may disclose that the patron has failed to pay these fees along with other relevant information to credit reporting organization.

The Video Lab also houses a variety of mobile multimedia stations for classes/presentations.
Computer Carts - Computer, Projector, and Speakers mounted to a rolling cart.
Media Carts - Projector and Speakers mounted to a rolling cart, with no computer attached. This allows the user to use their own media. ie. Laptops, iPads, etc.
TV Carts - Flat Screen Monitor, a Mac Mini and choice of VCR or BluRay Player, and Speakers, mounted to a rolling cart (with all the latest software and wireless connectivity included.)

A document camera is used to display documents, textbooks, 3D objects, and even experiments in real-time onto a larger screen, projector, or interactive whiteboard, serving as a modern, flexible alternative to overhead projectors. It is commonly used in education for live instruction and for both in-person and remote learning, but also in legal settings to present evidence and in medical environments for telemedicine.
