All students, faculty, and staff have free access to LinkedIn Learning (formerly known as Lynda.com and lyndaCampus), an online subscription library that teaches the latest software tools and skills through high-quality instructional videos taught by recognized industry experts.

By activating a LinkedIn Learning at Otis College account, you can access over 8,000 training courses on a broad range of subjects, including business skills, photography, design, video editing, fashion illustration, home computing, animation, web design and development. New courses are added every week.

All videos have searchable transcripts. Exercise files let you follow along with the instruction as you learn. Bookmarks, collections, and learning paths help you keep track of what you’d like to watch. You can watch all of a course, or you can jump around to find specific information.

The LinkedIn Learning library is available 24/7 - even from your iPhone, iPad, Android device, or mobile phone. Watch entire courses or single tutorial videos as you need them.

Students

  • Take tutorials to help with coursework
  • Learn techniques for your own projects
  • Build tech skills to boost your resume

Faculty

  • Assign tutorials for projects & classes
  • Incorporate training in your syllabi
  • Supplement courses with video

Staff

  • Boost your productivity
  • Explore new technologies
  • Add training to your performance plan

Connecting LinkedIn to LinkedIn Learning

Is it required?

No.

Why should I connect my LinkedIn.com profile?

You'll be able to access LinkedIn Learning by logging into www.linkedin.com and clicking on the Learning button in the menu bar. You may be asked to enter your Otis College credentials.

Connect your LinkedIn account to see trending courses for professionals like you, get custom recommendations based on your professional experience, and access Learning directly from LinkedIn.com.

What can my organization see?

Your organization can only see your learning activity on LinkedIn Learning and your basic profile information (e.g., name, title, photo). However, your organization will not see any of your activity on LinkedIn.com.

What can my LinkedIn network see?

You’re in control. Your LinkedIn network will only see what you choose to share with your network. For example, you can add completed courses to your profile or share courses with your connections.

How can I unlink my accounts?

Yes, but it is difficult. To disconnect them, follow these directions and contact LinkedIn.
