Prompt and Requirements

PROMPT: Locate a theme or motif that emerges from your personal narrative that you would like to explore in more detail and from different perspectives. Then, identify how this theme/motif occurs in one or more cultures or communities outside your own. Conduct research to expand your understanding and deepen your analysis of the theme/motif, and write a critical essay that integrates your reflections with this research. Your essay should include a specific thesis and reflection on how your research and analysis have expanded your understanding of the theme/motif and the role it plays within different cultures.

WORD COUNT: 1250 - 1500 words
